Omelette Fingers
This recipe requires just one ingredient to start (we won't spoil the surprise as to what it is..!) so it's a really quick and easy meal. These are fantastic sliced as a finger food. Adults and older children can simply have the omelette as a wrap for whatever filling takes your fancy! See our Weaning page for the up to date guidance on using eggs.

1 egg!
(and a tiny nut or butter or oil for the pan)
Add other fillings for adults and older children if you want to serve the omelette as a wrap.
-
Heat the butter or oil in a non-stick pan over a medium heat.
-
Meanwhile, beat the egg lightly. You can add cheese too if you wish at this point (grated cheddar is fine).
-
Once the butter is foaming gently, pour the beaten egg into the pan, letting it form a round pancake.
-
Let it cook for a few minutes until the base is set and just a bit wet on top.
-
Flip it over and cook for another minute or so until fully set and lightly golden brown.
-
Cut into strips or serve as a wrap.
